Recovery. Recovery. Recovery! Recovery has been the theme this year. I am not a spring chicken anymore. What I do after working out is very important. I throw 5-6 times a week, lift 4 times a week, plyometric 2 times a week, sprints 2-3 times a week, Pilates 1 time a week, and Yoga occasionally. Whew! I’m tired just thinking about it. That’s a lot to demand from your body, especially when you are larger than average. I turned 30 last year, which means I am getting older and I need to work smarter. One thing I learned while at the University of Texas (-/ Hook’em Horns) is that you have to take care of your body. I had to get a message every week, visit the chiropractor every week, and take an ice bath at lease 2 times a week. There were eyes watching to make sure you were doing as you were told. Massages are the one thing that I am faithfully still doing. Chiropractor not so much, his office is so far away. Ice Baths I took one maybe 1-2 a month. Read the full article at: www.shotdiva.com
