Olympian Korir Continues His Winning Way with Thrilling Finish

Rio Olympian Leonard Korir continued his winning ways Sunday morning at the Armaco Houston Half Marathon, besting Olympic marathon silver medalist Feyisa Lilesa (ETH) in a thrilling finish, which saw both runners finish in 1:01:14. 

Korir's win is his second in as many weeks, having won with a furious kick last weekend at the Great Edinburgh XCountry International Challenge. 

In the women's race, American Jordan Hasay ran a stellar half marathon debut, placing fourth in 1:08:40. Winner Veronicah Wanjiru (KEN) outlasted Dera Didi (ETH) by eight seconds, taking home top prize in 1:07:58.
